OUR STORY

JSI was founded in 1977 by Jesse Stutts, who launched the company from a spare bedroom with a simple belief: do the right thing every day and do it well.

From those humble beginnings in Huntsville, Alabama, JSI has grown through hard work, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

In 2006, ownership transitioned to Jimmy Wall and Jay Stutts. Under their leadership, JSI expanded our team, capabilities, and resources — investing in people, technology, and processes that drive results for our customers.

During this time, JSI continued to grow into a recognized electrical construction leader across North Alabama, the state, and the surrounding region.

As of October 2025, JSI is a 100% employee-owned company with more than 300 team members and a reputation for quality, safety, and innovation.
